THREE STEPS TO PASS
The Class E Knowledge Exam is the final requirement before heading to the office to pick up your permit.
1. Simple Registration
Sign up and provide the basic details required by the State of Florida. Per state law, a parent or guardian must be present to monitor the student during the exam and provide their information as a proctor.
2. Complete the Online Exam
Take the 50-question exam from your own computer or tablet. The test covers Florida road rules and road signs. You have 60 minutes to complete the exam, and a score of 80% (40 out of 50) is required to pass.
3. Pick Up Your Permit
Once you pass, your results are automatically reported to the DHSMV. You can then visit your local Tax Collector's office or DMV to complete your vision/hearing tests, provide your required documents, and have your permit printed.

EXAM FAQ
Knowledge is Power
So, this means you can’t answer more than 10 questions incorrect. Once you reach 11 answers incorrectly, the exam will immediately end and you will fail.
When you go to the DMV office, just give them your personal information and they will be able to retrieve your score.
If you fail the Permit exam due to your grade, or an incorrect answer to a personal security question or even if you timed out because you didn’t answer the question in-time you will need to repurchased the Permit Exam again.
